Mark Wayne McNiel, 60, of Clermont, FL was called home to heaven on Sunday, September 26, 2021. Mark was born on June 20, 1961 in Waco, TX, son of William and Billie Ruth McNiel.
He graduated as class valedictorian from El Paso High School, and not long after that he embarked on a 25 year career with Cash America Pawn as a Vice President. Mark moved to Florida in 1996. He and his wife opened their own chain of stores called Family Jewelry & Pawn in South Lake county 18 years ago.
Mark was a devoted family man, he loved God, adored his children, took great joy in hollering at the Dallas Cowboys, mentoring, coaching football, golfing and the mountains. He also truly loved serving and being a part of his community, generously giving back at every possible opportunity.
Mark is survived by his wife Shawn who was the love of his life, to whom he was the most devoted and caring husband; his beloved children, Brittiany McNiel, Nathaniel McNiel, Danielle McNiel, Alysha McNiel, and Chasity Bono; grandsons, Troy McNiel, and Markus McNiel; his parents, William and Billie Ruth McNiel; sisters, Karen Sparks, Tammy Dodd and Terri McNiel.
His memory will be cherished and kept alive by his adoring children, family and many friends.
A Celebration of Mark's life will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, October 2, 2021 at the First Baptist Church of Clermont, 2751 Hartwood Marsh Rd., Clermont, FL 34711. Pastor Kendal Anderson of The Crossing Church will be officiating.
