Marino Thomas, 84, of Clermont, FL passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at the Mike Conley Hospice House, surrounded by his loving family.  Marino was born on February 24, 1935 in Manchester, CT, son of James and Mary Thomas.  He served in the U.S. Navy for 4 years and then for 20 years in the U.S. Coast Guard, before retiring from the military. Marino and his family moved to Clermont in 1976 and he owned and operated the Clermont Insurance Agency in downtown Clermont for many years before retiring.

Marino is survived by his daughter, Marcia English and her husband, Mike; son, Mike Thomas; grandchildren, Christopher Hanlon and his wife Dani, Jonathan Hanlon and his wife Alicia, Sara Thomas and Andy Thomas; great grandson, Caden Hanlon.   His wife, Joyce Ellen Thomas in August of 2014, preceded Marino in death.
