Obituary

Marie Kirkland, 92, of Minneola, FL passed away Thursday, January 16, 2020 at home under the care of Hospice. Marie was born on November 24, 1927 in Clermont, FL and was a lifelong resident of the area. She worked as a bank teller for Citizens Bank, Exchange Bank and Suntrust Bank as well as working at the information desk at South Lake Hospital. Marie was a longtime and charter member of First Baptist Church of Minneola.

Marie is survived by her children, Linda Geiger, Richard Kirkland and Jeffrey Kirkland; sister, Shirley Bumbalough of Clermont and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Kirkland and sons, Bruce and Clifford Kirkland.

A Celebration of Marie's life will be held at 11AM Saturday, February 29, 2020 at the First Baptist Church, Minneola, FL, with Pastor Tim Burdick officiating. The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorials in Marie's name be made to the church.
