It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mariann Penders, beloved mother, grandmother, and sister who left this world peacefully on January 24, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on November 5, 1947, in Queens, NY. Mariann lived a life marked by love, resilience, and devotion to her family.

After graduating Dominican Commercial High School in 1965, Mariann began her career at the New York Telephone Company before dedicating herself to her family after her marriage in 1967. In a testament to her commitment to lifelong learning, she furthered her education and earned her bachelor's degree in 2000.

She is predeceased by her husband, Robert George Harris, and her son, Matthew Robert Harris. Mariann is survived by her cherished daughters, Audra Jean Harris and Leann Harris, as well as her grandchild, Michelle Logan Harris, and her brother, William Francis Penders Jr. who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.

In honor of Mariann's life, a funeral mass will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Blessed Sacrament Church in Clermont, Florida. Burial will be held at Mount St. Mary's in Flushing, NY on Friday, February 21st at 1:30.
