IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Marian Beals
Wilson
July 6, 1968 – January 10, 2021
Marian Beals Wilson, 52, died in Apopka, FL on January 10, 2021 of a heart condition. She was born to Janet Beals Hoskinson and the late Charles Beals in Orlando, FL on July 6, 1968 along with her identical twin Alice.
Marian grew up in the small town of Clermont, Florida. Attending Clermont Elementary School, Clermont Jr. High and Clermont High School. In High school Marian was active in sports. She played two years of basketball, and volleyball and ran track all four years. She was also awarded the most athletic in her senior year. After graduation Marian attended Valencia Community College where she received her AA degree.
Marian started her Walt Disney World career at the Magic Kingdom in 1986. She quickly moved to a lead position. In 1989 she transferred to MGM studios to help assist with the grand opening. In 1995 Marian began working in the receiving department as a food handler. In 1998, she transferred to the opening team of Disney's Animal Kingdom, where she worked until her death.
Marian had a hard work ethic which won her much respect. Marian met many people along the way who are going to miss her deeply for her outgoing personality and hard work. She was the backbone of the family. She would be the one to organize and plan all the get togethers. Whatever the event, Marian was the one right in the middle taking care of everyone. Along with the events and holidays, came her arts and crafts. For Valentine's Day she would make homemade candy boxes. For Easter, she made sure everyone colored eggs and participated in an Easter egg hunt with eggs filled with money or candy. The birthday parties were a hit! There were games to be played with a prize table for the winners. Win or lose, nobody went home without a prize. For Halloween, again it was the homemade candy boxes (Monsters) filled with candy. With the children's hand prints she would make bats. The footprints would be made into ghosts. For Thanksgiving, the handprints would be turkeys. For Christmas, the handprints and footprints would become reindeers. She also made her googly eyed candy cane reindeer which were handed out to everyone. She even made sure her sister Alice had some to take to work to hand out. I am sure many of you got one this past Christmas.
Marian loved boating on the chain of lakes in Clermont. She loved her weekend trips to the beach making sandcastles. She took many vacations with the love of her life, Kit. She especially enjoyed her trips to Las Vegas. Her last vacation to Las Vegas was in 2018, she and Kit took Alice for their 50 th birthday celebration. Their vacation started with a 3night stay in Vegas, followed by a two-night stay on the Pacific Ocean and ended with a two-night stay at Disneyland. Many lasting memories were made on that trip.
Marian is survived by her partner, Kit Miller; her son's Justin and Brock Wilson; her mother, Janet Hoskinson; her brothers, Frank Beals (Lisa) and John Beals (Catie), her identical twin sister Alice; and their dear friend Christina Milbourne (Tony). Her grandchildren, Annabella and Gerry Wilson; nieces, Ashley Dale, Courtney, Cameron and Chandler Ann Beals; Pamela Spicer-Moehring; Mackenzie and Jordyn Milbourne, and many loved cousins. She was predeceased by her father, Charles Beals (1995) and her brother-in-law Jerry Dale (2012).
Her funeral will be at the First United Methodist Church in Clermont on January 16,2021 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Hospice. Marion was loved by all who knew her and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
