Maria Cristina Sesenton, born December 5, 1930, passed away peacefully at Madison Residence in Clermont on June 17, 2024.

Maria was married to her beloved late husband Horacio Ortiz for 50 years.  She gave birth to four children, Jeanette, Sandra, Richard, and Yvette.  She had eight grandchildren by the name of Jean Marie, Edwin R., Roslyn, Eric E., Anthony, Michael, Lizandra, and Richard D.; and 14 great grandchildren.

Maria was a housewife with many talents such as cooking, sewing, knitting, gardening, and craftwork.  She loved music and dancing.  The ocean was her passion. Nature was her inspiration.  She admired her avocado and mango trees in the backyard of her home in Puerto Rico.

She contributed as a volunteer to organizations such as the Veteran's Medical Center in Puerto Rico; Hope, an organization for seniors; and Homeless Shelters during two devastating hurricanes; and the voters electoral Puerto Rico.

A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, June 21, 2024, 11am, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Clermont.

The family suggest in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Maria's name be made to Alzheimer's Association . (alz.org)
