Maria Isabel Garcia Mercado

May 5, 1938 – October 1st, 2025

Our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Maria Isabel Garcia Mercado, entered her heavenly home on October 1st, 2025. Born in Barranquitas, Puerto Rico, on May 5, 1938, she now rests alongside her loving husband of 65 years, who passed in 2019.

Maria was a woman of faith, dignity, and strength. She poured her love into her children, grandchildren and generations after, leaving a legacy rooted in devotion to God and family. She will be remembered for her strong spirit, her joy for life, and her gift for sharing the Gospel.

Maria is survived by her six children—Cirilo Garcia(Mary), Yolanda Femia, Ruthie Martinez (Jose), Noemi Rivera (Isaac), Jose Manuel Garcia (Nilma), and David Garcia (Jasmine)—as well as countless grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren who will forever hold her memory close.

Services will be held at Becker Family Funeral Home. A private viewing for immediate family will take place on Thursday, October 9, at 4:00 p.m., followed by a public viewing for family and friends at 5:00 p.m. A celebration of life and dedication will follow.

Burial will be held on Friday, October 10th, at 11:00 a.m at Oak Hill Cemetery in Clermont, Florida.
