It is with much sadness that we announce that Maria M. DeJesus went home to our Lord and Savior on February 24, 2024, at the age of 81.

Maria was born in Puerto Rico on May 27, 1942. She served in the United States Army from 1962 to 1964 as a Medical Specialist. It was a few years later when she met her husband Bill and was married on July 21, 1968. Maria and Bill moved to Long Island, New York, where they raised 5 children. After working for the United States post office for 30 years Maria & Bill moved to Arizona where they spent the next 20 years .  Maria battled five different cancer for over 15 years . She is survived by her husband Bill; 5 children; 11 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.

Maria was a strong, kind, gentle woman who will be missed dearly.

A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, March 6, 2024, 11am, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.  Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery at 1:30pm.  The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 5, 2024, from 4pm until 7pm with a Prayer Service at 6pm at Becker Funeral Home.
