Obituary
Maria Guadalupe Cuevas, age 72, Groveland, passed away September 26, 2015 at home. She was born December 23, 1942 in San Benito, TX daughter of the late Catarina Ramos Medellin & Longino Trevino Ramirez. A central Florida resident since 1972, she was a homemaker & member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
Maria was known as "Lupe" by many. She believed in God and her Catholic Church. She was a devoted wife and loving mother that enjoyed taking care of her children and her grandchildren. She also took in other children and raised them as her own. She was loved by many. She was the backbone of our family. Every holiday and celebration revolved around her. Everyone that knew her knows what a wonderful lady she was.
Her daughter Elizabeth Cuevas preceded her in death. Surviving are her husband of 56 years Andres Torres Cuevas; children, Maria Luisa Garcia & her husband Baltazar, Maria Rodriguez, Andy Cuevas & his wife Isabel, Lourdes Gomez, Nelda Jimenez & her husband Dante & Ruby Delgado & her husband Antonio, Julian Cuevas; children that she raised as her own and who called her mom; Feliciano Cuevas, Francisco Cuevas, Gilberto Macarena & Alfredo Macarena; 24 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren & siblings Maria Luisa, Silvia, Bundo, Rodrigo, Isai & Juan.

Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until 12:30 PM on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at the funeral home. Mass of the Resurrection will follow at 1:00 PM at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church celebrated by Reverend Agusto Cadavid. Burial will follow in the family plot in Mascotte Cemetery.
