In Loving Memory of Marguerite Lynn “Lynnie” Stevenson Lillard

With deep sadness and everlasting love, we announce the passing of Marguerite Lynn “Lynnie” Stevenson Lillard, who passed away peacefully after a lifelong illness.

Born in LaPorte, Indiana, Lynnie spent her childhood in Maitland, Florida, before making Clermont her home for most of her life. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Guy; her daughters, Hollis (Jack) and Chelsea (Nikki); her grandsons, Calder and Briggs; and her sister, Sharon (Leon). She was preceded in death by her father, J. William; her mother, Marguerite; and her sister, Louise.

Lynnie lived a life centered on family, service, and making others feel loved. She was a devoted wife, proud mother, cherished grandmother, beloved sister, and loyal friend. Of all the roles she held, being a mother brought her the greatest joy. She treasured time with her family and found happiness in life’s simple moments together.

Giving to others was simply who Lynnie was. Whether sewing a Halloween costume, making homemade clothes, baking a birthday cake, preparing holiday treats, lending a listening ear, or creating a handmade gift, Lynnie expressed her love through the things she did for others. Her thoughtfulness and generosity touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.

A talented seamstress and lifelong crafter, Lynnie found joy in creating with her hands. She loved escaping to the Smoky Mountains, where she found peace and made treasured memories with those she loved. As a proud member of Kappa Alpha, she treasured the lifelong friendships and sisterhood that remained close to her heart.

Although she lived with a lifelong illness, Lynnie faced life’s challenges with grace, resilience, and quiet strength. She will be remembered not for her illness, but for the love she gave, the lives she touched, and the example she set through her compassion and selflessness.

Her legacy lives on in her family, her friends, and the countless people whose lives were made brighter because of her. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

Celebration of Life: Family and friends are invited to celebrate Lynnie’s life on Friday, August 14, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at The Church at South Lake.
