Marc David Simyak, 41, of Clermont, FL died August 11, 2019, at his home in the arms of his loved ones, after a courageous three and a half (3 1/2) year battle with cancer.

Marc was born in Cuyahoga Falls, OH, the first born to Janice and David Simyak Jr on April 20, 1978.  He was the older brother to his only sibling, Matthew Simyak.  Marc attended grade school and middle school in Stow, OH until moving to Michigan in 1992 where he graduated from Hartland High School, Hartland, MI in 1994.  During his years in high school he was involved in drama and sports.  He had the privilege of travelling with his French class to France for two weeks but his real love, after many trips there was Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL.  After graduating high school he attended University of Central Michigan and then transferred to Michigan State as a sophomore.  While there he enrolled in a college program where he spent a semester as a cast member at Disney World.  After leaving Michigan State he moved to Celebration, FL and was hired by Walt Disney World where he worked in many positions throughout the resort up until his death.

Marc was diagnosed with colon cancer in February 2016.  His battle was nothing short of an example of courage and bravery while going through treatment and surgeries throughout the period.  He never complained and even worked through the pain we all knew he was experiencing.

He is survived by his mother and father, Janice and David of Clermont, FL, his brother Matthew, his sister-in-law, Kayla, and their three children, Lexie, Graysen, and Marshall of Lewis Center, OH, his grandparents, Robert and Henrietta Mills of Rootstown, OH, his partner, Angelo Diaco of Clermont, FL, and many relatives and friends too numerous to mention by name but loved by Marc.  Marc was preceded in death by his grandparents, David Sr and Lillian Simyak.  His endearing smile and wit will be remembered by all.

A service was held at the Becker Funeral Home in Clermont, FL on August 13, 2019 with Chaplain Orlando Rodriguiz officiating.  Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society in his name.  A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held in Ravenna, Ohio on October 12, 2019 and an additional memorial will be held in Orlando, FL at a later date.  These Celebration of Life memorials are because of Marc's love of family and life.
