Manuel "Manny" A. Otero, 70, of Clermont, FL passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at the Mike Conley Hospice House.  Manny was born on July 28, 1942 in Santurce, Puerto Rico, the son of Manuel A. and Ana L. Otero.  He graduated from college with a Law Degree and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.  Manny worked in the television industry as a producer and broadcaster before retirement.  He had resided in Central Florida for the past 24 years and Clermont since 2004.  Manny was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Clermont.

Manny is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Maria; children, Manuel, III of Fruitland Park, FL, Jaime of Costa Rica and Jan of Mascotte, FL; sister, Dr. Nelly Otero of Clermont and his grandchildren.



A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:30AM Friday, August 10, 2012 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.  Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL, with military honors being rendered.  The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorials to Cornerstone Hospice, 2445 Lane Park Rd., Tavares, FL 32778.
