Magdaleno
Velez Jr.
Oct 23, 1942 — Sep 13, 2026
In Loving Memory of Magdaleno Velez
October 23, 1942 – September 13, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Magdaleno Velez, who passed away on September 13, 2026, at the age of 83.
Born on October 23, 1942, in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico, Magdaleno lived a life filled with love, family, and cherished memories. He was a proud Vietnam veteran, a devoted husband, a loving father, and a grandfather and great-grandfather who treasured his family deeply.
Magdaleno was the beloved husband of Edna Velez. Together, they shared a life filled with love, family, and countless memories. He was a devoted father to Richard, David, Sarai, Emily, and Laurie.
To his grandchildren — Alexander, Brandon, Andrew, Jonathan, Samantha, Aria, Angie, and Natalie — he was a grandfather whose love will remain a part of them forever. His great-grandchildren — Trevan, Grayson, Logan, and Jamison — brought him another special kind of joy and added even more precious memories to his life.
Those who knew Magdaleno will remember the things that made him uniquely him. He loved bowling, watching Mets games, and flying pigeons. But more than anything, he loved his family. His presence brought comfort, his stories brought memories, and his love created a bond that will continue long after his passing.
He was more than a husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was the heart of his family. His love, guidance, laughter, and the memories he created will be carried in the hearts of his family for generations to come.
Although our hearts are broken by his absence, we find comfort knowing that the love he gave us will never leave us. Every memory, every story, and every moment shared with him will become a treasured part of our lives.
Dad, Grandpa, Great-Grandpa — we will miss you more than words can ever express. Thank you for the love you gave us, the memories you left us, and the family you helped build. You will forever be loved, forever remembered, and forever missed.
Until we meet again, may you rest peacefully.
