Obituary

Luvenia Rechell Hart, 54, passed on Thursday, December 21, 2017, in her home in Clermont, Florida.

She was born in Bogalusa, Louisiana on January 1, 1963 to McCauley Hart and Helen Plummer Hart. Luvenia's parents preceded her in death along with her brothers, Donice Garrett Jr., Joshua Garrett, Jimmy Garrett, and Bernard Garrett.

Luvenia spent her life giving, loving, caring and some of her interests included local and international travel, entertaining, reading, journaling, enjoying quality time with immediate and extended families, and she was also passionate with her work with FedEx. But most importantly, she loved "Me Time" because it was her time spent with God. She learned how to spend quality time with God when she was baptized in Folsom, Louisiana at Holmeville Missionary Baptist Church currently under the leadership Pastor Calvin Jackson Sr. Then in later years, she joined First Baptist Church of Progress Village in Tampa, Florida under the leadership of Dr. Samuel Maxwell.

She graduated from L. W. Higgins High School in Marrero, Louisiana in 1981. Luvenia joined the United States Air Force in 1982 where she served as Communications and Computer Systems Supervisor. During her military career, her primary focus was in support of Operation Desert Shield/Storm. After a decade of dedicated service, she received an honorable discharge as a staff sergeant.

In conjunction with her military career, Luvenia earned her Bachelors Degree from the University of Maryland and was awarded her Master of Business Administration Degree from Webster University with a concentration in Marketing.

Luvenia lived her life to the fullest. She was a thinker whom jotted notes, scriptures, and inspirational quotes everywhere just like bread crumbs leading you to believe that you can "be strong and courageous …" Deut. 31:6a.

Luvenia was loved and still is loved by her niece and nephew (raised as brother and sister) Johnnie (Patricia) McKay and Angela (Eric) Scott.

She is survived by four sisters, Celia M. Garrett, Arleen G. McKay, Margie A. (Alvin/Rick) McGary, Joyce H. (James/Skip) Jackson; one brother, Donnie R. (Marilyn) Hart; two sisters-in-law, Ozzie M. Garrett & Ruthie M. Garrett; and goddaughter, Kourtney Hart.

Luvenia will be remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and her dear friends.
