Lucille R. Sullivan, also known as "Nan", passed away peacefully at home in Clermont, FL on June 22, 2021. She was 91 years old.
Lucille was born on May 17, 1930 in Milford, NH to Edmund J. Paro and Flora A. (Pellerin) Paro. She graduated from St. Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing program in 1951. After graduation she started her career in Pediatrics as an R.N. working for St. Joseph's Hospital. She worked many years in the Drug Addiction and Substance Abuse Field culminating to her working for Beech Hill Hospital in Dublin, NH for 25 years. She also did Drug Addiction and Substance Abuse Group Therapy with the Adolescents which gave her a lot of satisfaction and gratitude from the adolescents that she helped.
She is survived by her husband, George B. Sullivan. They married on August 26, 1976. They have been married for 44 years. Lucille and her husband lived in Wilton, NH for many years before relocating to Clermont, FL. Lucille and her husband were also faithful members of the congregation of Lake Hill Baptist Church in Orlando, FL.
She loved plants, cats, dogs, and baking. Some of the homemade desserts that were family favorites were peanut butter jars and her pies such as chocolate cream pie and mincemeat pie. She loved going camping with a trailer and sitting around campfires telling and listening to stories. She also loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed babysitting her grandchildren and spending time with both her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a very social person and would talk to anyone even strangers.
She was predeceased by her parents, her brother Edmund Paro, Jr., and her first husband Deloss M. Birkett. She is survived by her son, Gary Birkett and his wife, Beth, of Milford, NH and her daughter, Heather (Birkett) and her husband, David Stroh of Orlando, FL; her grandchildren, Reid Birkett, Elise Holt and her husband, Keegan Holt; her great-grandchildren, Colin and Ethan Holt. She is also survived by a nephew and godchild, Eric Paro of Wolfeboro, NH.
She will be missed by many and may she rest in peace for all eternity.
