IN LOVING MEMORY OF

Skipper
November 25, 1924 – January 7, 2018
Louise Marie Skipper passed peacefully on Sunday, January 7, 2018 in Minneola, Florida at the age of 93. She is survived by two sons; James Martin Skipper and Daniel Joseph Skipper. Nan Skipper, wife of Daniel Skipper. Seven grandchildren; Preston, Sterling, Zachariah, Shannon, Matthew, Heather, and Daniel, 15 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She is predeceased by her parents; James and MaryAnna Gash, her husband, Hubert Preston Skipper, Sr., four sons; Hubert Preston "Bert" Skipper, Jr., Gary Michael Skipper, William Derek Skipper, and Brett Lee Skipper, one daughter, Janette Louan Skipper, and one grandchild, Sarah Skipper.
Louise was born on November 25, 1924 in Hackensack, New Jersey. She married Hubert Skipper on December 7, 1943 in Hackensack. Together they moved to Minneola Florida in 1945. Her first priority was being a dedicated housewife and was then taught by her husband's friends and family to become a true Southern Lady. As she developed into a Southern Gal she mastered the gift of Good Ole Southern Hospitality. In a short period of time she worked part time at a local laundromat in Clermont. Then she moved on and worked as a Secretary at Clermont Hospital. After that she became City Clerk of Minneola. Her last place of employment was as the office manager of Florida Plats for a total of 25 years until the age of 82. Louise was very inspirational, caring and loving. Her door was always open as she would make room for one or more at her table if any of the neighborhood children were hungry. She was affectionately known by many as "Mama Skipper". Being a mother and grandmother was a source of great pride and joy for her. While family was incredibly important to Louise, she also took great pride in her career with Florida Plats Company. Always had an enormous impact on everyone around her, she was a Beacon of Light to those who knew her, even despite the numerous personal losses within her own family. Her Faith in God held her through it all. She was greatly loved and will be missed by many!
