IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Loijielyn C.
Marasigan
July 15, 1977 – January 31, 2024
Loijielyn "Jien" Cruz Marasigan, 46, passed away on January 31, 2024 in the presence of family and loved ones.
Jien was one of the greatest blessings to her parents Benjiely and Loida Cruz on July 15, 1977. She was born in her hometown of Pasig, Manila, Philippines. She was the eldest of three children, followed by Maybelle (Evangelista), and youngest, Paolo. Jien was the quintessential "Ate" - loving, kind, responsible, and generous.
In May 1992, Jien and her family immigrated to Maryland. It was there she met Marlon "Mao" Marasigan and the two wed on April 24, 1999. Jien and Mao have three beautiful daughters: Lady Marien (Lao), Kyla Jien, and Faye Ysabel.
Those close to Jien described her as a selfless superwoman - diligent in her church duties, working full-time as a C-suite executive, and last but not least a loving wife and mother. She created a home full of warmth and enjoyed going on adventures, traveling the world with her family. Jien was truly exceptional and epitomized beauty, poise, intelligence, strength, faith, and resilience.
Jien died a proud member of the Iglesia ni Cristo (Church of Christ). She is survived by her husband, Mao; children - Lady Marien (Angel), Kyla, and Faye; parents (Loida and Benjie); siblings - Maybelle (Willie, Lara, and Nico), Paolo; mother-in-law, Celia; and many others. Though brief, she lived a full life and will forever be remembered dearly by those blessed to know her.
