Obituary
On Sunday May 16, 2021, Linda Louise Vlasak, daughter, sister, grandmother, human and dog mom passed away.
She was an extremely kind and funny mom, laughing at all of the terrible jokes her son Adam told. She really loved her grandchildren and always looked forward to seeing and spoiling them when they visited. As a mom she was always supportive of what her children wanted to do with their lives and accomplishments.
Linda had a passion for her dogs. She walked them, took them to the dog park and the beach, and made sure they were spoiled and loved. Being an avid quilter Linda made quilts for all of her family and showed her love for those in her life by creating beautiful quilts. She also enjoyed experimenting with her garden, always looking for new plants to try in the yard, reaping the benefits of growing beautiful flowers in the warm Florida climate.
Linda was born on September 22, 1956 to Elaine (Schloesser) and Curtiss Gorn in Wisconsin. She relocated to sunny Florida and never looked back. She loved the warm weather and would enjoy a glass of wine on her patio and watch the daily thunderstorm roll in.
Linda worked as a critical care nurse for many years. As a nurse she was extremely opinionated about her health and passionate about living a high quality of life or no life at all.
Linda raised two kids, Ashley and Adam, and many fur kids including rescue dogs Steffi & Evie.
She is preceded in death by her mother Elaine, father Curtiss, sister Leanne, and granddaughter Wendy. She is survived by her children Ashley (Ben Nilsson) Vlasak and Adam (Lindsay) Vlasak, grandchildren Wally and Beckett, as well as six siblings.
No funeral service will be held as she did not desire one. Instead the family will be celebrating her life at the beach with some wine, dogs, and lots of bad jokes privately.
