July 14, 1943 – January 30, 2021
LeRoy Leslie Brown Jr, age 77 of Pensacola, FL went to be with Jesus on Saturday, January 30, 2021. He died suddenly due to complications of the Corona Virus. He has been a resident of Montverde, FL for the past 20 years.
LeRoy was born to the late LeRoy Leslie Brown Sr. and Jarmila Justl Brown on July 14, 1943 in Pensacola, FL. After High School, LeRoy enlisted in the United State Air Force in 1964 and served honorably for four years as an Aerospace Ground Equipment Repairmen. Following his military service, he pursued a career in the telecommunications industry and then moved to Mountverde, FL in 2001 to complete his career and enjoy retirement.
LeRoy was a faithful member of Embrace Baptist Church where he taught Sunday school for the past 10 years.
He is survived by his wife of thirty-two years, Mae S. Brown, two sons, LeRoy Leslie Brown, III (Ruthanna) and Edmund Christian Brown (Jennifer); a brother David Allen Brown (Linda) all of Santa Rosa County Florida. LeRoy is also survived by his step-son Kenneth Scott, and step-daughters Denise Murphy, Lori McManus (Ronnie), and April Spears. He leaves behind many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and friends who will miss him dearly.
Some of LeRoy's favorite pastimes were fishing, gardening, traveling, and witnessing to others about his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
The family gives special thanks to the ICU doctors and nursing staff at South Lake Hospital.
Becker Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, the family request a donation be made in the name of LeRoy Leslie Brown, Jr. to Embrace Baptist Church Benevolent Fund.
Due to the Corona Virus Pandemic and out of an abundance of caution, services will be held at a later date to protect those we love from this deadly virus.
When time permits, Interment will be at Barrancas National Cemetery with full military honors.
