Mrs. Leone "Lee" J. Kneller, of Clermont, Florida, formerly of Saginaw, Michigan, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away Thursday, March 21, 2019 at her home, age 88 years. The daughter of the late Leo and Cora (Alman) Morris, Leone was born August 30, 1930 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Leone graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School in 1948 and received an Associate's Degree from Western Michigan College in 1950. Leone married James C. Kneller on May 23, 1953 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. They were wed for 55 years, until Jim's death on January 19, 2009. Lee was an avid tennis player and golfer and had belonged to Four Flags Racquet Club in Saginaw, Michigan, Bay Valley Golf League in Bay City, Michigan and Green Valley Golf League in Clermont.
Surviving are three daughters, Jane Kneller-Krysinski, Essexville, Michigan; Susan (Robert) Studabaker, Three Rivers, Michigan and Carol Kneller, Clermont; three grandsons, Patrick (Laura) Studabaker, Kalamazoo, Michigan; Jordan Studabaker, Three Rivers, Michigan, Michael (Stephanie) Krysinski, Orlando, and three great-grandchildren, Adam Krysinski, Ava and Ella Studabaker. Also surviving are a sister-in-law, Dell Kneller, Scottsdale, Arizona, a brother-in-law, Dr. Joseph Mersol, North Lima, Ohio and many nieces and nephews. Leone was preceded in death by two sisters, Virginia Flower and Eileen Schimp, a brother, Wayne Morris and a son-in-law, Edward Krysinski.
Honoring Mrs. Kneller's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Funeral Liturgy will take place 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 6, 2019 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 5376 State St., Saginaw, Michigan. Rev. Fr. Rick Bokinskie will officiate. Entombment of cremains will take place in St. Andrew Cemetery. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass.
