Leonard Edward Lester went to be with his Lord on August 31, 2021 in his home surrounded by his loving family. Leonard was born in Chicago, Illinois and was one of three children to Eleanor Yuknis and John Lester. Leonard was a loving son, brother, husband, partner, dad, grandpa, and friend. Leonard was known to be a pillar of strength and to be the best in all aspects of his life including working in the "land business", selling timeshare, and even hunting in places like the Yukon or fishing for tireless hours in Wisconsin. Words cannot express how his strength was also beautifully felt in his love for his family in so many ways. His caring was felt in his ongoing prayers and encouragement to "never give up" no matter what. Our family would like to extend our love and gratitude to Cornerstone Hospice for their attentiveness and loving care. Memorial service will be held at Blessed Sacrament Church in Clermont, Florida on Wednesday September 29th at 11 am. A luncheon will follow to celebrate his life and burial will be at 2pm at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell Florida.
