Lenard 'Lenny' Hayes Bass II

50 Years Old

2/27/72 - 10/25/22

Lenny was born in Winter Park, FL on February 27, 1972 to Lenard Hayes Bass & Rita Hamilton Bass and left this life on October 25, 2022 at St Joseph's Hospital in Tampa, FL.

Lenny's loved ones left behind include his Father Lenard H. Bass (Kathy), Mother Rita H. Bass (Polie Stroup), 2 sons Casey James Bass, and Jake Hayes Bass. Two grandsons Nicholas & Noah Bass, sister Lisa Bass Jennings (Allen), Niece Abby Jennings, Aunt Flo Hamilton, many cousins and cherished friends.

Lenny was a graduate of Groveland High school in 1990. After graduation Lenny joined the US Army during Desert Storm and spend some time over seas. After serving, Lenny returned to Central Florida, married Mendy Bacon and they had two sons, Casey 1993 and Jake 1999.

He grew up & lived most of his life in South Lake County FL where he loved to do all things outdoors like driving through the woods, walking any waterfront he could find, hunting, fishing and doing it all with his friends, family & sons. He loved to travel and even some of his driving career included 'over the road' driving that he was even able to take his sons along with him a few times. They still have fond memories of riding all around and across the country with him.

Lenny later retired from driving and moved to Winter Haven, FL to live with his sister Lisa and worked at the Hampton Inn Winter Haven. Even in his final years he still loved boating, fishing, "plundering", hunting and spending time with family & friends. All that knew him would agree that if you wanted a true opinion just ask Lenny, he loved to give it.

There will be a visitation from 3-4PM Saturday, October 29, 2022, followed by a service at 4PM, which will include military honors being rendered. A gathering for family and friends following the service which will be announced.
