Born in Jersey City, New Jersey to Leon Vincent Wisowaty and Violet Jankowski, "Little Leo" graduated 8th Grade from St. Anthony's in 1952 and Ferris High School Class of 1956. He then continued his education at New York Institute of Photography. He served in the Air National Guard for six years. He was a professional photographer for most of his life, taking pride in documenting the most important events in other people's lives. He was also an accomplished landscape/still photographer. He was a member of the Elks Lodge, and served as Exalted Ruler in Ridgefield Park, New Jersey in 1994.
Lee had MANY talents and hobbies, including modeling, motorcycle riding (during his younger years), welding, collecting guns, and acting. He was active with the Moonlight Theater, where he acted in several of their plays, as well as other theaters in the area. His most cherished role was playing Lazar Wolf in Fiddler on the Roof.
Lee is survived by his wife Rosemarie of 56 years, son Michael (Lynn), daughter Michele (Giannina), and 4 grandchildren: Ryan, Alyssa, Katelyn, and Kayla.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, August 3, 2025, 1pm, at Becker Funeral Home.
