Lawrence Oliver Rescoe; age 79; of Weidman and Clermont, FL, passed away in his sleep on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at their home in Clermont, FL with cancer. Larry was born on July 7, 1942 to Frederick and Katherine (Fahnestock) Rescoe in Trenton, Michigan. Larry was raised in the Weidman area and married the first love of his life, Jeanette (Egbert) at the United Methodist Church in Weidman on June 15, 1968.  He was a member of the United Methodist Church and Lions Club in Weidman prior to their move to Clermont. Larry was a U.S. Army Veteran, attended Georgia Tech., and member of the First United Methodist Church of Clermont, a supporter of the Community Foundation of South Lake, South Lake Chamber of Commerce, Clermont Historic Village, Lions Club, Cornerstone Hospice, Kiwanis Club of Clermont, Find, Feed and Restore, and FAITH Neighborhood Center. Larry was a dental salesman, entrepreneur, and started LOR Manufacturing of Weidman, MI before retiring to Clermont.  He had a passion for being inventive and creative. He loved woodworking and doing projects with his dear friend Tom Herman. He worked part-time for the State of Florida as a Park Ranger at Lake Louisa State Park.

On May 19, 2018 Larry married his new love Toni Bell of Clermont, FL. Toni brought out the best in Larry and filled his heart with undying love. Toni is a blessing to our family. Larry is survived by his loving wife of 3 years Toni Bell; children, Christina (Duane) Martin of Remus, MI and Theresa (Brad) Spayd of Mt. Pleasant, MI; grandchildren, Tyler (Colleen), Brent, & Caleb Martin, Alana Spayd and fiancé Andy Lambert, Adam, & Austin Spayd, and great granddaughter Kinsley Martin; siblings, Harold (Pamela) Rescoe and Janet (Harry) Dent and sister-in-law Edythe (Dan) Sloyer; and many family members and friends. Larry was preceded in death by his love of 47 years Jeanette (Egbert) Rescoe, parents, and sister and brother-in-law Barbara and Robert Stark.

The family will meet with friends from 2 to 4 pm on Sunday, December 12, 2021 at Becker Funeral Home 806 W. Minneola Ave. Clermont, FL 34711. A Celebration of Larry's Life will be held on Monday, December 13, 2021 at 4 pm at the First United Methodist Church of Clermont 950 7th Street Clermont, FL 34711, with pastor Dawn Carter officiating.   The Celebration of Life Service will be available online on YouTube live and available for 30 days at:
