Obituary
LAGRANGE, LaVonnia, 59, gained her wings to be with her Heavenly Father on February 17, 2021, after a long courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She had a kind heart and was loved by all who knew her. LaVon's daughter and two grandsons were the center of her world, and she loved them dearly. LaVon also loved the Lord and her favorite Bible verse was John 3:16. LaVon had a love for life, even though she knew her health was failing.
LaVon was born on March 4, 1961 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Robert and Edith LaGrange. LaVon grew up in Cedar Rapids and graduated from Jefferson High School in 1979. LaVon then graduated from Kirkwood Community College. She worked several jobs before relocating to Florida to work in the medical support field. Her most recent employer, prior to her illness, was Orlando Health.
LaVon is survived by her mother, Edith LaGrange of Cedar Rapids, IA; brothers, Steve (Cerise) LaGrange of Cedar Rapids, IA, Rich LaGrange of Marion, IA; sisters, Suzanne (Nathan) Loehr of Anamosa, IA, Diane (Mark) Mangas of Shellsburg, IA; daughter, Jessica Faecher of Clermont, FL; grandsons Jacob and Bradlee Faecher of Clermont, FL; and many nieces and nephews. LaVon was proceeded in death by her father Robert.
A celebration of life will be held in Cedar Rapids, Iowa at a later date.
