Obituary

Lauriston "Lonny"  Theodore Izlar, VI passed away on Wednesday, September 30 2015 after a nine year battle with ALS.  He was 54 years old.

Lonny was born in Perry, GA, November 3,1960, to Larry and Valerie Izlar.  He lived in many places through out his c hildhood, including Starke, FL,  Buffalo, NY, Rockland ME and Oki nawa, Japan.  In 1979 , he moved to Ocala FL to live with his grandmother and attend college at CFCC and University of FL, where he met his wife of 30 years, Bobbi.  After receiving his Bachelor' s degree he moved to Orlando to pu rsue a sales career. At age 27 Lonny decided to start his own business and opened "Izzi Bath & Spa Manufacturing".  His dream was to be an entr e p r e ne u r ; and with very little money, no experience but lots of self confidence and optimism he made that dream come true.  Starting in his garage in 1990, Lonny built Izzi into a successful and respected bathtub manufacturing company.

But the most important thing in Lonny's life was his family—his wife and 4 children, and extended family of sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.  Every thing Lonny did was for them and spending time with his children was his number one happiness.

In 2007, Lonny was diagno sed with ALS.  His optimism and drive was an inspiration to so many who knew him.  He never complained, he never gave up and he always had a smile for everyone.  He continued to work online with marketing for Izzi and stayed active on the computer even as he lost his physical abilities.

He is survived by his wife Bobbi, His son Luke and wife Daniele, Daughters Britta and Blaire, and son Tristan. Mother Val Izlar, s isters Kay and Lynn (David), Aunt Laurie Mullins, cousins Rob Mullins (Terri), Glenn Mullins (Dianne), Patty Williams (Gaylon), nieces Dawn Parlin (Nick) and children Jude, Delia and Pacey, Lauren Mullins, Ashley Mullins, Rachel Mullins, and Nephews, Chip Williams (Kelsey), Bo Williams, Josh Peddle, Wesley Mullins, Bobby Mullins.  He is preceded in death by his father Larry Izlar and his uncle Bobby Mullins.
