Larry Blaine Putman, 81, of Groveland, FL passed away at home surrounded by his family on January 12, 2021.  Larry was a dual citizen, born in Canada and lived in Florida for over 35 years.  Larry was retired from Lake County Sheriff's Department.  Larry loved horses, and all farm animals, gardening and spending lots of time with his family, and square dancing.

He is survived by his wife, Glenda (nee Ashberry) Putman; children, Rachel (Carl) Moore of Canada, Paulette Huff-Mercer of Groveland, FL and Jimmy (Jean) Ashberry of Pennsylvania; siblings, Charles (Karen) Putman, Dennis (Linda) Putman, Roger Putman, David (Lillian) and Kate Grasso all of Canada; grandchildren, Christopher and Trey Moore, Maddie, Clarissa and Alex Grondin all of Canada, Paul Ryan Mahon, Wendy and Anastasia Meeks all of Groveland, FL and Brandon Ashberry of GA, Heather Ashberry and Lamar Ashberry of PA.  Larry is pre-deceased by his mother, Gertrude (nee Anderson) Putman; father, Harold Putman and daughter, Amy (Tom) Grondin.

He will be greatly missed.

There will be a Celebration of Larry's life at 2PM Saturday, January 23, 2021 at his home in his honor.
