Larry Allen Dowds passed away at his residence in Mascotte, FL on Saturday, February 27, 2021. He was 76.  Larry was born on April 24, 1944 in Mt. Vernon, Ohio to Calvin E. Dowds and Wilma M. Horne.  Larry was a retired heavy equipment mechanic of over 50-years.  He was also a U.S. Army Veteran and loved classic hot rod cars, his kids and grandchildren.  Larry was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Nina J. Dowds and son, Douglas Allen Dowds.  Larry is survived by his daughter, Debra (Don) Smith, grandson's, Austin Shaw (Deland) and Hunter Shaw (Mascotte), daughter-in-law, Rosa Dowds (Orlando), granddaughters, Michelle Ledesma (Orlando) and Cristina Ledesma (Orlando); as well as his brother, Richard Dowds (Florida).  The family will be holding a private family service and spreading his ashes in West Virginia and Ohio.
