Larry Erwin Brooks, 78, of Clermont, Florida passed away peacefully on December 24 th , 2020. Larry was a native of Gastonia, North Carolina until his family relocated to Florida when Larry was 14. Larry loved God and his country; Larry was an enthusiastic member of Real Life Christian Church (Clermont, FL) and was a proud veteran who served in the Army. Larry also loved to fish, especially with his best "fishing buddy", his daughter, Kellee.

Larry is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Marcia Jean Brooks, and their daughter, Kellee Jean Ratliff, along with Kellee's husband, The Reverend Jason Ratliff, and their three children, Connor Ratliff, Cole Ratliff, and Caroline Ratliff. Larry is also survived by his brother, Andrew Billy Brooks, and Billy's wife, Bonnie Brooks, and Billy's two sons, Bryan Brooks and Scott Brooks. Additionally, Larry is survived by his uncle, Glenn Mace, and Glenn's wife, Shirley Mace, along with their daughter, Amy Cooke, and their son, The Reverend Arthur Mace, and his wife, Lori Mace, and their sons, Joshua Mace and Jonathan Mace, and daughter, Hannah Mace.

Larry is also survived by his nephew, Danny Brooks, along with Danny's wife, Lisa Brooks, and their daughters, Holly Chason, Brandy Brooks, and Chelsea Brooks.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Henderson Brooks and Helen Mace Brooks, as well as Larry's brother, Danny Arthur Brooks.

Larry loved to laugh and make others laugh, and he was a joy to all who knew him. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic gathering restrictions, A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
