IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lanny M
Frant
February 17, 1949 – August 24, 2020
Lanny Michael Frant, February 17, 1949 – August 24, 2020, Clermont, FL.
Lanny is survived by his wife of 49 years, Janice Kay Frant, his daughter and son-in law, Heidi Leveille and Nick Leveille, his son and daughter-in-law Kyle Frant and Monika Frant, two grandchildren, Alexander and Lucas Frant, his sister, Amanda Gavin, and his beloved dog, Gus as well as family and friends from Australia and the USA.
Lanny was born in New York City to Stanley Joseph Frant and Pauline (nee Merritt) Frant. He immigrated to his Mother's country of birth, Australia, with his brother, Terry Frant, and his Mother, in 1951.
In Australia, Lanny grew from the challenges and many adventures of his upbringing to become the wonderful and dedicated husband, father, grandfather, brother, and man whom we were so fortunate to have had in our lives. He enjoyed the outdoors, camping, traveling, his grandchildren, and imparting his wisdom and knowledge. We fondly recall the many stories and adventures of his childhood, particularly those of his grandfather and grandmother, Jack and Violet Merritt, who helped raise him with the love and attention he so proudly recalled. He loved to talk about his grandfather's WWI stories as a light horsemen in Gallipoli, Palestine, and Europe, and particularly the lessons he learned under this father-figure.
Lanny loved his family, which was so very important to him, especially his wife, Jan. He would have walked to the ends of the earth for his family. Lanny will be greatly missed.
May his restless spirit be put at ease,
May he find the light that will give him peace.
Per Lanny's wishes, no viewing, visitation or service will be held. If anyone desires to donate a memorial in Lanny's name, it may be made to the Cornerstone Hospice Foundation , 2445 Lane Park Rd, Tavares, FL 32778.
