Klara Estrella, age 83, passed away on September 29, in Lakeland FL, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's Disease. She was born in Bad Kruznach, Germany on January 8, 1929. She lived a remarkable life, emigrating to America in 1951 with her husband John Andrek and son Karl. They lived in Pennsylvania where her second son, John, was born. The family then moved to New York City.



She moved to Hawaii in 1974, where she met her second husband, Manuel Estrella, and they settled in Boonville, California. They lived there for over 25 years until Manuel passed away in 2004. Klara then moved to Davenport, Florida to be near her sons. She loved to sew, cook and always had a story for her friends. She will be missed.



She is survived by her son Karl Andrek, of Philadelphia, PA, her grandchildren Christopher, Julia and Ian Andrek; and her son John Andrek and his wife Joan, of Cedar Key, FL.



Klara was very fond of the staff of Savannah Cottage, her memory care residence in Lakeland, FL.



Visitation will take place at Becker Funeral Home, 806 West Minneola Avenue, Clermont, FL, on Tuesday, October 2, from 5-7 p.m. A Prayer Service will be held immediately after visitation, at the funeral home.
