Kevin was born on January 18th 1961 in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. He was the son of Horton Albert Glidewell and Marilyn Glidewell. Kevin was a military kid and moved around to many locations. He graduated high school in Swansboro, North Carolina. Shortly thereafter he moved to Florida.

 Not long after he moved to Florida he met Tammie Wolfe whom he fell in love with instantly. Kevin and Tammie were married on August 15th, 1981. They have two children together; Michelle born May 12, 1985 and Mathew born July 2, 1991. Kevin held many different jobs throughout his life but the one that he was most proud of was working at Lockheed Martin. 

Kevin loved serving the community and other people. He was proud to be on the Chairman‘s Board for the Arnold Palmer Invitational. He also did many other public serving charities including Toys For Tots and Relay For Life. Kevin was always the life of the party and an absolute joy to be around. 

He loved his wife, children, and grandchildren, and you can never forget his dog Halle. Kevin will be greatly missed, but always remembered by everyone he came in contact with.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to The Arnold and Winnie Palmer Foundation or Toys for Tots-Lake and Sumter County Chapter.

A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, March 30, 2026, 1pm, at Becker Funeral Home. The family will receive friends starting at 11:30am.
