Obituary

Kenneth Lee Soto Jr., age 21, passed away surrounded by love.

He was born on November 13, 2004, in Manhattan, New York, to Diana Torres Gonzalez and Kenneth Soto. He was the fourth of six siblings and a cherished son, brother, and friend. In 2010, Kenneth moved with his family to Orlando, Florida. Kenneth had a bright spirit and was intelligent. From a young age, Kenneth was exceptionally smart, curious, and full of laughter. He had a natural ability to make people smile,  and had a deep love for music, technology, and cars.

Kenneth was a straight-A student with a remarkable interest in computers and mechanics. In middle school, he built his own computer from scratch. After graduating from Sumter High School, he pursued automotive technology and became a licensed mechanic. He proudly worked as a technician for BMW and KIA, always eager to share his knowledge and help others with their vehicles.

During this time, Kenneth worked at The Big Bass Grill in Lake Panasoffkee, where he became deeply loved by the community. The owners and staff, embraced him as family, drawn to his kindness, work ethic, and infectious positivity.

Kenneth faced significant health challenges throughout his life with extraordinary courage. At the age of 13, he was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes, a diagnosis that changed his life and the lives of those who loved him. Later, after his many accomplishments following high school, Kenneth was diagnosed with celiac disease, requiring him to carefully manage two serious conditions.

There were frightening moments when his health was tested, yet through it all, Kenneth never lost his smile, optimism, or faith.
Despite every challenge, Kenneth remained loving, caring, and incredibly hardworking. He was wise beyond his years, always ready to offer advice. He lived by a simple but powerful philosophy: "1% every day will eventually get you to 100%." He embodied that belief in everything he did.
Kenneth loved his family deeply and cherished his friendships.

Kenneth Lee Soto Jr. is a pure example of kindness, resilience, faith, and positivity. His light touched countless lives, and his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Kenneth is survived by his parents, Diana Torres Gonzalez and Kenneth Soto; his siblings, Orlando Torres, Sammy Lopez, Shekinah Lopez, Benito Soto, and Nevaeh Grace Soto; and his extended family and many friends who loved him dearly.
