Kenneth Robert Ricklick Sr. of Clermont Florida, died peacefully September 21, 2022 after a long slow battle with Frontotemporal Degeneration. He leaves behind his wife of 25 years, Claudia Seitz-Ricklick, sons Kenneth Ricklick Jr. and David Ricklick, step-daughters Amy VanderMeer and Tracy VanderMeer, brothers Mike Ricklick and Steve Ricklick, sisters Janet Ricklick and Dorothy Briggs, four grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Ricklick and Theresa Ricklick Summerton and his sister Marie Hunter.
Ken was born in Shakopee Minnesota on January 25, 1953 and grew up in Miami Florida. He graduated from Christopher Columbus High School and University of Florida. He held several positions in the finance industry, the last being an international business broker. He loved the out of doors and spent most of his free time outside. He was a Master Gardener and a Florida Naturalist. He volunteered at Oakland Preserve, Lake County Agriculture Center, and many other places, rescuing native plants and preserving the natural Florida landscape. He enjoyed hunting, hiking, and geocaching. He liked to travel, always taking the back roads.
The Service of Thanksgiving for Ken will be at 11am Saturday the 8 th of October, 2022 at St Matthias Episcopal Church in Clermont Florida, with internment to follow in the memorial garden.
In lieu of flowers, it is suggested that memorials in Ken's name be made to St. Matthias Church,
