Obituary

Kelly Nelson Allison, 42, of Clermont, Florida, passed away on February 14, 2020, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born August 22, 1977 in Bridgeport, CT, she was the daughter of Christine and Walter Nelson. After spending her youngest years in Connecticut and Georgia, Kelly moved to the Central Florida area in 1987 with her family. She graduated from West Orange High School in Winter Garden, FL in 1995.
Kelly attended the University of Central Florida for both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees, graduating summa cum laude in 2001. She then continued on to a rewarding career as a Speech-Language pathologist in Lake County. In 2012, she was happily married to Erik Allison. Kelly found great joy in spending time with her family, especially in raising her two remarkable daughters.
She is survived by her husband, Erik, and two daughters, Brynn and Andie, of Clermont, FL; mother, Christine Nelson of Clermont, FL; mother-in-law, Mary Allison of Anthony, FL; and brother, Clint Nelson and wife Tracy, Apopka, FL; as well as her loving extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Walter Nelson, and brother, Andrew Nelson.
A Celebration of Life for Kelly Allison will be held at 2PM on Saturday, February 22 at Becker Funeral Home in Clermont, FL. Visitation will be from 1:30PM to 2PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN.org) to further pancreatic cancer research.
