Kayla (Kay) Ann Shimp, 33, of Winter Garden, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 24, 2023, at her home in Clermont, FL.  She was born October 3, 1989.

Kayla was our outgoing, bubbly, full of life girl.  From the moment she came into this world, she let the world know.  She had more energy than anyone I know.  She loved with all her heart all those that she held dear.  She was always there for her family and friends.

She was a fantastic mother and took pride in taking care of her daughter.  Their friendship was beautiful to see.  Her smile was so bright, and her heart was so sweet.  She enjoyed going to the beach, and shopping.

Kayla leaves behind her daughter, Whitney Rose; her mother, Carole Fernandez; step-father, James Fernandez; brother, Brandon Shimp; father, Dean Shimp; grandparents, Rodger and Kathryn Diday; nieces, Aubrey and Emma Shimp; and many, many more family and friends.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, August 8, 2023, 2pm, at Becker Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends starting at 1pm.
