Obituary

Kay (Hobba) Beyea

Kay Beyea passed away on September 30, 2021 at the age of 74 in Clermont, FL.  She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and neighbors.  She was the daughter of the late William and Isabel (Korman) Hobba. She is survived by her husband, Alan, her daughter Tammy White, her son Ken (Wendy) Beyea, her sister Judy (Bill) Johnston, her grandchildren, Lindsey (Greg) Hilker, Ashleigh White, Rebekah and Sarah Beyea.

Kay was born in Pennsylvania and moved to Niagara Falls where she grew up.
Kay and Alan met in the 3rd grade and they were married after she graduated from Alfred University where she earned an Associate of Applied Science in Medical Laboratory Technology.  They raised their children in Ransomville, NY then moved to Clermont, FL when they grew tired of the cold NY winters. They would have celebrated 54 years together this December.

Kay also earned an Associate of Science degree in Telecommunications from NCCC.
Kay worked at NCCC in the Business Department, and worked for Niagara County and Wilson Central High School as a Microcomputer Coordinator. Kay also assisted her husband Alan with their business "Photos by Beyea" in the 70s. Kay volunteered on the Technology Committee for Royal Highlands POA as the Community Channel 999 editor, at Lewiston Assembly of God Church as a Computer Operator/Manager and was readily available to help anyone with their computer "issues".

Kay was a leader of women's ministries at Victory Christian Center and enjoyed riding her Harley alongside Alan. She took great pride in being a member of the W.O.R.R. team (Women of the Righteous Riders) who prayerfully supported the Righteous Riders Motorcycle Club. Kay was also a member of the D.A.R. and worked closely with Alan as an administrative couple for Marriage Encounter.

Kay's real passion was her grandchildren. Her faith, family and friends meant everything. Kay loved to make elaborate cakes for her family on their birthdays and cookie cakes for many friends. Kay had a gift of hospitality, a sensitive heart and gave the best hugs; she will be greatly missed by all.
