Kathryn Parmenter, age 84, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2018. She was born July 26, 1933. Growing up in Wildwood, NJ she loved the beaches, boardwalk and the fresh fruits, vegetables prevalent to this area. In her early 20s she married and moved to Boardman, OH.
The second chapter in Kathryn's life was spent in central Florida. She worked with a real estate appraiser and later as a part-time realtor in Winter Park. And it was here that she joined local choirs and would sing at various events in downtown Winter Park. After retiring she moved to Clermont where she was active in the Clermont Garden Club and choir groups. She performed at the Epcot Candlelight Processional. A talented artist, she would paint her Christmas cards, she even starred in a feature film as an extra. Kathryn, loved to garden, cook, and enjoyed the outdoors, nature and Florida beaches.
She is survived by her daughter, Denise Shick, son Bob Parmenter, grand daughter Jianna Parmenter, grand son Christopher Shick, and brother Paul Masterson. In respect of her wishes a green burial will be held at the Prairie Creek Preserve Cemetery in Gainesville, FL.
The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorials in Kathryn's name to: Prairie Creek Conservation Cemetery, dedicated to environmentally friendly burial and land conservation,
