Kathleen Marie (Pudlo) Srodes, 71,  Aubunrdale, FL, passed away June 7, 2013 and is now dancing with the Lord. Born in Detroit, MI on June 5, 1942 to John and Dorothy Pudlo, she moved to Midland, MI in 1956 and graduated from Midland High School. She married Paul Kenneth Srodes, and has lived in Florida for over 25 years. She was blessed with, and is survived by, her three wonderful children, Krista Marie (Steve Erickson), Tauny Lynn (Jim Zimmer), and Timothy Allen (Nancy Srodes).



Her children lovingly share "Mom was simply a beautiful and strong woman," "through the way she lived her life, she taught us how to be a better person" and "mom touched the lives of everyone she interacted with." Kathy worked in the printing and publishing industry for many years and had many hobbies such as cross stitching, quilting, collecting stuffed bears and especially reading. Her biggest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren and she loved making Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners and was known in the family for making the best chop suey, sloppy joes and salami rolls. She had a special relationship with her sister Pat (Dick Wilson), her sister-in-law Diane Pudlo and her brother Johnny who died in 1989. She was lovingly referred to as "The Eagle" with her children being "Eaglets 1, 2, and 3" and her children's spouses are given the honorary title of Eaglets as well. Kathy adored her three grandchildren Caleb, Tyler, and Kelli and they love grandma so very much. She was a ray of sunshine to her many nieces and nephews, and brothers- and sisters-in-law. Kathy was a courageous, persistent and strong woman whose faith and inner strength beat cancer more than once. She would always say "tomorrow will be a better day" and never wanted people to feel sorry for her. Always willing to speak her mind, Kathy was never rude or mean with her words. She was wise and caring, with an open and easy smile, an infectious laugh, and a twinkle in her eyes.



There will be a service to celebrate her life on Tuesday, June 11 at 3:00 pm at First United Methodist Church in Clermont located at 950 Seventh Street, Clermont, FL 34711. The family will be at the church at 2:00 pm to visit with guests and share stories of Kathy's wonderful life and spirit. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to one of the following:
