Karen Jean Shadduck, 72, of Clermont, FL, went home to be with Jesus on Saturday, June 5 ^th , 2021 after a long battle with Scleroderma.

She is survived by her children Kellie Nienajadly and Richard (Lisa) Ferris; grandchildren Thaddeus (Rebecca) Nienajadly, Joshua Nienajadly, Amorandah (Jose) Perez, Manessa Ferris and Cannah Ferris; great-granddaughter Olivia Engel; sister Kathleen Dobraski and sister/friend Christina Johnson; nieces Marlene (Scott) Anderson and Amy VanDorp, nephew Ryan Johnston and numerous friends.  She is pre-deceased by her parents and her brother David Duncan Johnston.

She and her twin sister Kathleen were born January 5 ^th , 1949 to Duncan McDougal Johnston and Carolyn Carrie (Welch) Johnston in Camillus, NY.  After high school, she worked at Rome Cable and NYS Power Authority until she moved to Florida in 1994.

She always looked for ways to make others happy.  Her favorite saying was "How can we bless them?"  If you visited her home and walked away hungry, it was your own fault.  Her love language was food, especially baked sweets, and she was a fabulous cook.

As "The Beba" (her grandmother name), she enjoyed teasing her grandchildren about the Beba Christmas theme (early and often).  Starting in January, she and Christina gave hints on Facebook and started preparing for the celebration, always held the Saturday before Christmas so everyone is free on Christmas Day to spend it at home with their own family.  The theme was always fun and would be representative of a Bible verse that pointed to the reason for the season.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
