Juanita (Tucker) Beckius

Juanita (Tucker) Beckius, 90, of Groveland, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, September 11, 2024. Born on September 27, 1933, in Atkinson County, Georgia, she was the youngest of six children born to Henry and Maude (Sutton) Tucker.

Juanita graduated from Ash'er High School as Salutatorian and was a proud member of the basketball team. In her youth, she was an avid bowler and cherished family gatherings. Later in life, she developed a passion for antiques and operated "Treasure Seekers," a beloved shop in downtown Clermont where she enjoyed sharing her finds with the community.

A devout woman of faith, Juanita was a dedicated member of The Church at South Lake. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Beckius; her son, Jack Griner II; her parents, Henry and Maude Tucker; and all five of her siblings.

Juanita is survived by her daughters, Elaine Barton (Bo) and Joyce Chancellor; her son, Tony Griner; nine grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 27, 2024, at The Church at South Lake. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Juanita will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her love for antiques, and her profound love for her family. She touched many lives and her memory will live on in the hearts of her loved ones.
