Joy Mae Crompton, 84, of Minneola, Florida, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2026. She was born in Tazewell County, Virginia, to Carl Marshall Pressley and Geneva Aldridge.

Joy graduated from West Jefferson High School in West Jefferson, Ohio. She spent many years working as an office administrator, where she was known for her dedication, organization, and friendly nature.

Joy enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. She was a devoted NASCAR fan, loved playing cards, and treasured traveling and spending time with family, friends and her little Sami.

She is survived by her two sons, Michael Carl Crompton and Dennis Edward Crompton, along with extended family and loved ones who will cherish her memory.

Joy was preceded in death by her parents, Carl Marshall Pressley and Geneva Aldridge; her brother, Thomas Odell Pressley; and her son, Thomas Lee Crompton.

A memorial service celebrating Joy’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on March 27, 2026, at South Lake Presbyterian Church, 131 Chestnut Street, Clermont, Florida 34711.

Joy will be remembered for her warmth, love of family, and the many memories she created with those who knew her.
