Obituary

Josephine Pinero 3/12/1957 – 10/20/2023

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Josephine Pinero (AKA Pitus, Tus, Louise, Josie, Jo, Ms. Jo, Mama Jo, Mom, and Grandma), who left us on 10/20/2023, at the young age of 66 in Clermont, FL. She was surrounded by her loving family in her home.

Josephine was born on 3/12/1957 to Henry and Margarita Calderon in Brooklyn, NY. She was a beloved HUMAN, Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Titi, and Friend. She touched the lives of many with her kindness, joy, warmth, and infectious smile (those dimples).

She is survived by her husband and dance partner Eddie; sister Tina; two sons Ray and Joey; five grandchildren Mercedes, Ray Ray, Quinntin, Eli, and Aiden; great-granddaughter Amaya and most importantly, her fur babies Pickles, Maxie, Peanut, and Jelly. She was predeceased by her parents Henry and Margarita and her 3 brothers Henry, Robert, and Luis.

Josephine was Latina AF, a remarkable individual, a radiant beacon of love that shone brightly upon everyone she crossed paths with. Her life was a testament to the power of Love, Compassion, and Laughter, which she wholeheartedly embraced. Josephine exemplified resilience in its purest form, and her unwavering strength served as an inspiration to us all.

Her legacy is an exquisite tapestry woven with threads of kindness, generosity, and infectious laughter that could light up even the darkest of days. Josephine's love was boundless, and her compassion knew no bounds. She had an innate ability to make others feel cherished and valued, a rare gift that she shared generously with the world.

In the face of life's challenges, Josephine's unyielding spirit was a testament to her character. Her grace, determination, and ability to find joy even in adversity were a source of strength for those fortunate enough to know her.

Josephine's love for dance reflected her vibrant spirit. Her grace on the dance floor was matched only by her grace in life, and her ability to communicate emotions through dance was a testament to her pride and soul. She was a true lover of the beach, finding solace and joy in the rhythm of the waves and the beauty of the shore. The beach was not just a place for her, but a sanctuary where she connected with nature and experienced a profound sense of peace.

She displayed an incredible resilience that taught us the true meaning of fortitude, and she danced through life with a grace that left an indelible mark on all who were privileged to share the dance floor with her or watch her move. Her love for the beach and dancing created memories that will forever be cherished by those who had the privilege of sharing these experiences with her.

Josephine's memory will forever be engraved in our hearts, a tribute to the extraordinary woman who embraced life with open arms and left a profound and everlasting impact on all who were privileged to know her. Her legacy of love, compassion, laughter, and her deep connection to the beach will continue to inspire and guide us through the journey of life. In our hearts, she will remain a shining example of what it means to live with grace, resilience, and boundless love.

A viewing service will be held in her honor on 11/4/2023 at Becker Funeral Home; If possible, please wear ALL WHITE as this was Josephine's request because she knew she was going to Heaven. ALL friends and family are welcome to attend, pay their respects, and celebrate all the beauty that Josephine brought to this world. The service will be followed by a Celebration of Life Gathering; details will be provided at the viewing.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Josephine's Memorial Fund: https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/jopineromemorialfund
