Joseph Edward Roesch

December 13, 1933-August 18, 2021

Joe was born in Ada, Minnesota to Joseph and Aagot (Rolfson) Roesch, where he grew up and worked on the family farm.  He enlisted in the Army where he served as a Sergeant during the Korean War.  After being Honorably Discharged from the Army, he attended Northrup University in California and earned his Bachelors in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering in 1961.  He remained in California and went to work for Xerox where he retired after roughly 30 years.  After retirement, he traveled in his motorhome throughout the United States and decided to make Florida his home.  He was one of the original owners/founders of The Spring of Life Water Company in Montverde, Florida, along with his sisters, Carol, Diane and Marilyn and his brother, Ronnie.  He was more commonly known around town as the "Water Guy".

Joe was best known for his comical wit and dry sense of humor. His funny smirk would always let you know you were about to get advice, like it or not. He had a deep love for his family and our country. He was always ready to challenge someone to a game of pool. He loved tinkering around the house where he would invent all kinds of contraptions. His mind never stopped!

Joe is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara P. Roesch, Joseph Roesch (son), Shawnna Roesch (daughter), Donna (Joe) Sanchez (step-daughter), and Diane Roesch (sister).  Joe had two grandchildren, Brittany A. Laukat and Ethan J. Sanchez and two great-granddaughters, McKenna and Kendall Laukat.

He was a member at the American Legion, Elks, Moose and the VFW.

There will be a celebration of life held at The American Legion Post# 55 in Clermont, on September 25, 2021 from 1-5 pm. Afterward, his remains will travel with his family to his final resting place in Ada, Minnesota.

The family suggest in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the American Legion Post# 55.
