Joseph Rudolph Rieger, age 91, of Clermont, Florida passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 in Clermont, Florida. He was born on October 27, 1927 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Alfred and Rose Rieger. Joseph served his nation proudly as a member of the Army National Guard from 1947 to 1955, achieving the rank of Sargent First Class. He married Shirley McKee on February 12, 1955 in Merchantville, New Jersey Joseph was a member of the Kiwanis Club and owned and operated his own aluminum contracting company for many years.

Joseph is survived by his wife of 64 years, Shirley Rieger, sons; Richard (Kathy) Rieger of Dunedin, Florida, John Rieger of Clermont, Florida, and David (Peg) Rieger of Palm Harbor, Florida, sister Martha Zindel of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, brother Robert (Janet) Rieger of South Hampton, New Jersey, four grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Clermont, Florida.
