Joseph (Joe) Lyford, 85, passed away on April 4, 2022 in Fayetteville, Tennessee with his family by his side. Joe was born on August 13, 1936 in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine. He was the son of Charles and Louise Lyford. He was married on February 7, 1959 to Margaret (Peggy) Lyford and moved to the suburbs of Buffalo, New York. Joe worked in upper management at Bethlehem Steel for 30 years before his retirement in 1986. Joe was an avid golfer, traveled extensively with his wife Peggy and was all around sports fan. Joe lived in the Clermont area from 1998 to 2021 when he moved to Fayetteville Tennessee to be with his daughter. Joe was a long-time member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Clermont.

Joe is survived by his brother; Richard Lyford, Bridgewater Massachusetts, son; Kenneth (Melissa) Lyford of Clermont, Florida, daughter; Cheryl (Michael) Miller, Fayetteville, Tennessee and grandchildren; Margaret Miller, Rahway, New Jersey, Stephen (Megan) Miller, Jonesboro, Arkansas, Courtney Babchyck, Clermont, Florida, Joseph Lyford, Summerfield, Florida, Nathan Lyford, Clermont, Florida and Jonah Lyford, Clermont, Florida. He was predeceased by his wife of 60 years; Margaret (Peggy) Lyford, son; Charles Lyford, daughter; Suzanne (Bruce) Babchyck, sisters; Lois (Robert) Hayden, Louise (Martin) Nee, and brother; Michael Lyford.

Joe was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
