JOSEPH JUDSON D'AMBRO SR. 74, passed away at his home in Clermont Florida on January 27, 2015 with his wife Evelyn D'Ambro of 51 year by his side. Mr. D'Ambro was born in Brooklyn, New York on January 4, 1941. He graduated from Catholic High School and proudly served in the United Stated Air Force. He worked for Supermarket Services in New York before moving to Toms River, New Jersey where he worked at Dover Township Public Works Dept. for 31 years before retiring as a foreman. He worked at Summers Bay Resort of Clermont Florida after his relocation to Florida. He was a coach at Toms River Little League for many years before starting the Babe Ruth League. He is survived by his by his sister Frances Tennaro Long Island, NY, his three sons Joseph D'Ambro Jr. of New Jersey, Frankie and Andrew D'Ambro of Florida, two granddaughters Amanda and Alex D'Ambro of New Jersey, a grandson Joseph D'Ambro III of Texas, a great-grandson Logan, many nieces, nephew, cousins and friends both here and in New Jersey.
Friends may visit the Becker Funeral Home Wednesday, February 4, 2015 from 5-8 PM. A Mass will be celebrated Thursday, February 5, 2015 at 11:00 AM in St. Faustina Catholic Church. Inurnment with Air Force honors will follow in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.
