Joseph "Joe" Asselin was born and raised in Quebec, Canada. In 1964, Joe married Nicole "Nicky" Bureau and shortly thereafter they moved to Florida, beginning their life of 55 years together. Joe's priority was always his family; Nicky, of course, his children, Michelle and Patrick, as well as the large, extended family remaining in Quebec. Joe was especially proud of his two grandsons; Mitchell and Sean. Joe's career was in the business world, holding many sales positions with various companies such as Dade Paper Company, Jordan Marsh and Roger Dean Chevrolet. He also owned and operated several businesses with Nicky including Cross County Cleaners in West Palm Beach and Trailside Propane in Lantana. Joe and Nicky spent over 50 years in Palm Beach County, recently moving to Clermont to be closer to family. Joe was a lifetime devotee of the Catholic faith, as illustrated by his 4
th degree
status in the Knights of Columbus, and he was well known in the community for his many acts of service.
Joe is survived by his wife, Nicky (Clermont), his children Michelle (Clermont) and Patrick with his partner Susan (Alachua), his grandsons, Mitchell and Sean, with their mother, Julia Cook (Ocala), and his siblings in Quebec, Royal Asselin and his wife, Suzanne, Marie-Paul Asselin and her partner, Paul, Ronald Asselin and his wife, Nicole, and Jean-Paul Asselin.
