Jose Juan Rivera-Pedroza, 83, Clermont, passed away April 7, 2011 at South Lake Hospital. He was born December 27, 1927 in Cayey, Puerto Rico son of the late Dulcido Rivera & Teresa Pedroza. On November 23, 1946 he was united in marriage to Rosa Garcia in Cayey. He was a retired Sergeant in the United States Army having served in WWII, Korea & Vietnam. A local resident since 2002 from Chattahoochee, FL, he was a member of Blessed Sacrament Cathoic Church. His sisters Edna Ruiz & Ada Lucia Rivera preceded him in death. Surviving is his wife Rosa; children Jose J. (Frances) Rivera, Newport News, VA & Wanda (Carlos) Fernandez, Melba (husband Howard deceased) Wiggins & Luis Rivera all of Clermont; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren & siblings Carmen Gutirrez & Juan (Iris) Rivera all of Puerto Rico & Victor (Margaret) Rivera, Deltona.



The funeral service for Jose Juan Rivera-Pedroza with full military honors will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
