Our beloved husband and father, Reverend Jose Garcia completed his earthly journey on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at 10:17 PM. He was born on July 13, 1930 in Naguabo, Puerto Rico and will now rest in peace with our Heavenly Father. Jose was strong in spirit and commitment and he fulfilled every obligation he ever undertook. He never let another man down, his word was his bond, and everyone knew it. You'd never hear him utter a lie nor intentionally deceive. He never made an enemy; he was always loyal. He relished the good things in life such as his family, church and friends. His faithfulness to the important people in his life could be seen in the way he steadfastly maintained ties with his childhood friends and colleagues throughout the years.

He leaves behind his wife, Maria Garcia, six children; Cirilo (Mary) Garcia, Yolanda (Rocco) Femia, Ruthie (Jose) Martinez, Noemi (Isaac) Rivera, Jose Manuel (Nilma) Garcia, and David (Jasmine) Garcia, in addition to many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Our hearts hurt but we find comfort in the beautiful memories he leaves behind. He was not only the rock of our family but also a great source of comfort for so many during his years of pastoral work. He marked the lives of many when officiating church services, weddings, baptisms, holiday services, wakes and funerals. Jose could always be counted on to be there for his family and community. He touched the lives of many and now will be handsomely rewarded with the promises of our Lord.

His family would like to thank all their friends and extended family for their continued love, support and prayers throughout the last few weeks. Please join them in celebrating the life of Jose on Thursday, July 25, 2019 at Becker Funeral Home in Clermont, FL. Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM with services being held at 7:00 PM. A second service will be held on Friday, July 26, 2019 at 10:00 AM, also at Becker Funeral Home immediately followed by graveside services at Oak Hill Cemetery in Clermont, Florida.
